Matthew D. Brehmer

Managing Partner

Background

Attorney Matthew D. Brehmer is licensed in Wisconsin and Florida. Additionally, he is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Exit Planning Advisor. By having his unique dual designation (lawyer and CPA), Matt can provide more specialized and custom planning for his clients. Matt has been practicing law since 2013.

At the beginning of his career, he worked for a firm specializing in estate and tax planning for high-income wealthy individuals. He was co-author of “Tax Planning Opportunities After the American Taxpayer Relief Act: Tools, Tips, and Tactics” in 2014. Shortly after that, he joined a local Neenah law firm.

Matt was born in Neenah and grew up in the Fox Valley and Green Bay area, so establishing a practice in Neenah was important to him. Matt became a shareholder at that local Neenah law firm in 2019 and practiced there until October 2021.

On November 1st, 2021, Matt started his law firm, Brehmer Law LLC, in downtown Neenah where he continues to develop his practice with an emphasis on estate planning, business transactions, and tax planning.

Matt stays busy helping his clients, as well as being involved in many local organizations, such as the Leadership Fox Cities Alumni Association (President), Fox Valley Estate Planning Council (Past President), Reach Counseling Services (Treasurer), Fox West Chamber (Director), Rotary Club of Neenah (President Elect), and Future Neenah (member of Maintenance Committee).

Abby Fritze

Attorney

Background

Abby’s passion for the law began during her time at St. Norbert College, where she actively participated in Trial Advocacy and obtained her degree in Political Science. She continued to pursue this passion by attending Valparaiso School of Law, where she worked for the University’s Sports Legal Clinic and interned in the Athletic Compliance Office. During her summer break, she interned with a local Criminal Defense firm in Appleton, where she discovered her passion ultimately lied in advocating for others. These experiences allowed her to understand the importance of client relationships and communication at an early stage of her career.

After passing the Wisconsin Bar Exam, Abby continued this passion as an Associate Attorney with the same firm, where she practiced for her first year. For the past three years, Abby worked as an Associate Attorney where she focused primarily on Estate Planning. She continued to advocate for others by helping families create a plan that allows them to property prepare for inevitable and unforeseeable circumstances that they face during their lifetime.

Abby joined Brehmer Law in August of 2024 and hopes to continue to honestly advise clients on the importance of estate planning and all the benefits associated with properly planning for their family's success.

When Abby is not in the office she enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband, son, and two fur-babies. Together as a family they enjoy spending time outside, hiking, and going up north. Abby is also a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) in Brown County where she incorporates her passion for helping others in representing the best interests of the youth in Brown County.

Chet

Chet

Chet

Office Dog

Background

Chet is our office dog. He was born in January 2022 and joined the firm in April 2022. He is a Shiba Inu and exhibits all the characteristics of such a breed. He can be full of energy running up and down the halls of Brehmer Law, but also sleeping on the couch in the lobby. His favorite thing to do is people watch out the front window all day.

He is a little bit skittish so he may bark at you when you come in, but all he will do is sniff you as he doesn’t let many pet him.

Our clients all love him! However, if you do not enjoy the company of a dog, please let us know and we will be sure to have you come on a day he is with his friends at Doggy Day Camp or make sure he is not in the lobby or conference room areas when you are here.
